ILLUSION:
NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON’T!
AV furniture specialist Optimum International is redefining
the concept of TV cabinets with the launch of an innovative new range.
Optimum is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of stylish
purpose-designed AV furniture. Optimum’s
new Illusion range features a handmade solid wood cabinet with a unique
automatic lifting mechanism for concealing/revealing a flat screen TV.
Activated by remote control, the cabinet’s virtually silent
mechanism raises the LCD or plasma screen to viewing height. At the touch of a button, the TV screen is
lowered and completely concealed inside the cabinet.
Illusion cabinets are handmade in the UK and available in
real American Walnut or Light Oak solid wood.
Each cabinet features a single full width storage drawer and two shelves
for AV components. The shelves can be
concealed by an ‘up and over’ door and the height of the upper shelf is
adjustable.
Optimum’s Managing Director John Ogden says: “The Illusion
range combines classic quality and contemporary styling, with the very latest
remote control wizardry. As a piece of
handcrafted solid wood furniture, Illusion is a real first for Optimum in
redefining the concept of television cabinets.”
The Illusion cabinet is currently available in one size
(w1100mm/d670mm/h670mm). It features a universal mounting bracket suitable for
LCD and plasma screens up to 32 inches.
Larger models for 40/42-inch and 50-inch TV screens are planned.Illusion cabinet units are supplied fully assembled and can
be delivered by Optimum to electrical retailers across the UK. The ILLUSION TV32 model in American Walnut
has an RRP of £2,495. The Light Oak
model has an RRP of £2,295.
