AV FURNITURE FIRM MAKES A BOLD STAND

AV furniture specialist Optimum International has launched a bold and eye-catching range of cantilever style stands for LCD and plasma screens.

The Elmob by Optimum range is the latest addition to the company’s innovative product portfolio.  The range features four contemporary TV stands in high gloss black aluminium and high gloss black safety glass.

Each model in the Elmob range features glass shelving for AV components and a central support column, with built-in cable management to conceal wiring.  The range boasts a swivel bracket for LCD and plasma TVs, which allows the screen to be moved left and right to an angle of 26 degrees.

Optimum’s Managing Director John Ogden says: “The Elmob range is the very latest in contemporary European styling.  The cantilever design gives the appearance of a floating TV screen.  It is ideal for consumers who want the look of a wall mounted screen, without the hassle and inconvenience of installation.”

The largest model in the Elmob range, Pegasus is suitable for TV screens from 42 to 52 inches.  The stand has a 450mm x 1,200mm basic footprint and sturdy two shelf construction.  It comes complete with a choice of 10 different coloured laminate finishes for the central support column and side panels.  Pegasus has an RRP of £349.

The Lynx model is 1,100mm wide and is suitable for LCD and plasma screens from 37 to 42 inches.  It comes complete with a choice of 10 different coloured laminate finishes for the central support column and side panels.  Lynx has an RRP of £279.

The Elmob range also features two Cygnus models, available with an aluminium support column in high gloss black or burgundy.   The 800mm wide unit (RRP £179) features a single glass shelf and is suitable for TV screens from 19 to 32 inches.  The 950mm wide Cygnus model (RRP £199) features two glass shelves and is designed for screens up to 32 inches.

The Elmob range has a high quality construction with toughened safety glass.  Each model features flush mounted castors for ease of movement.
